Racer, Wooden roller coaster in Kennywood, West Mifflin, United States
The Racer features two parallel tracks with a height of 72.5 feet, offering riders a thrilling descent at speeds reaching 40 miles per hour.
Built in 1927 by Charlie Mach and designed by John A. Miller, this roller coaster replaced an earlier version from 1910 that operated at the same location.
The Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation designated the Racer as a Historic Landmark in 1995, recognizing its role in American amusement park development.
Four trains accommodate 24 passengers each in three rows, allowing the coaster to serve 1,400 riders every hour during park operating hours.
The coaster incorporates a Möbius loop design where trains switch tracks during the circuit, making each round trip different from the previous one.
