The name originates from the River King Coal Mine in Freeburg, Illinois, which operated under Peabody Coal management until 1989.
The roller coaster reaches speeds of 37 mph, includes a 41-foot drop, and accommodates 30 riders per train in five cars.
The coaster requires manual operation of safety bars by employees instead of utilizing an automatic lap bar system.
