Xorazm Region, Administrative region in northwestern Uzbekistan.

The Xorazm Region extends across 6,050 square kilometers in the lower reaches of the Amu Darya River, bordering Turkmenistan and Karakalpakstan.

The region gained its administrative status in January 1938 during the Soviet era and remained part of the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic until 1991.

The Khorezmian dialect distinguishes this region from other parts of Uzbekistan, reflecting centuries of linguistic evolution among local communities.

The transportation network includes 130 kilometers of railways and 2,000 kilometers of paved roads connecting European Russia with the Caucasus region.

The region produces a specific variety of melon called gurvak, while maintaining extensive cotton fields despite water resource limitations.
