Ak Mosque

The Ak Mosque is a religious building in the historical city of Khiva with a central square chamber of about 6 meters on each side. The space is extended by porticos on three sides, creating a functional prayer area.

The building was constructed in 1657 and replaced an earlier structure at this location during the reign of Khan Allah Kuli Bahadur. Its construction reflects the architectural developments of that period in Khiva.

The mosque displays traditional Central Asian architectural features with geometric patterns and tilework that visitors can see throughout. These decorative elements reflect the religious importance of the space in every detail.
