Tashkent State University of Economics is a university in Uzbekistan's capital that has operated since 1931 and now offers programs in economics, finance, accounting, information technology, and hospitality management. The university was founded in 1931 as the Central Asian Institute of Finance and Economics, making it one of the oldest of its kind in the region. It received its current name in 1991 following the country's transition and has since continuously expanded its faculties and programs.
