Hisorak Suv Ombori, reservoir in Uzbekistan
Hisorak Suv Ombori is a large reservoir located in a valley of the Oqsuv river, near the town of Miroqi. The dam extends over 660 meters in length and stands about 138 meters high, built from rock and earth, while the water covers an area of more than four square kilometers.
Construction of the reservoir began in 1977 and was completed in 1988, serving as the main water source for farming in the region for decades. In 2004, it underwent major repairs to maintain its structure and function.
