Parque Cristal

Parque Cristal is a white cubic structure on Francisco de Miranda Avenue consisting of 18 floors built with steel, concrete, and glass. The interior contains multiple courtyards, parking areas, retail spaces, and various dining facilities distributed throughout the building.

The building was constructed in 1977 during Venezuela's oil boom era and received the Metropolitan Architecture Prize in 1987 for its design innovation. It represents a turning point when the nation invested in modern urban development.

The structure shows how Venezuelan architecture embraced modern design principles, combining offices and shops in one unified form. Its geometric shape has shaped the city's skyline and demonstrates how international design trends influenced local building practices.

The complex is located in an active business district and is easily accessible by various transport methods. Visitors will find ample parking and multiple restaurants to suit different needs.

The building was constructed on a steep hillside with difficult ground conditions, which required specialized engineering solutions by architect Enrique Arnal. This technical challenge made the solution a remarkable example of modern construction expertise.
