Torre Europa is a fourteen-story office building on Francisco de Miranda Avenue featuring a sharp corner design and self-supporting facades. Curtain wall windows wrap the entire structure, and ground-floor commercial spaces plus bank branches create an active street presence.
Architects Carlos Gómez de Llarena and Manuel Fuentes completed the tower in 1971, introducing advanced structural methods including slabs constructed every two floors. This constructive innovation shaped high-rise development in Caracas during that decade.
The name reflects its status as a landmark of modern Venezuelan architecture in the 1970s. Visitors can still observe today how the building's innovative facade details set it apart from other high-rises of that era.
The tower stands on Francisco de Miranda Avenue in a busy commercial area with good foot traffic. The vertical circulation cores are clearly positioned within the structure to make movement through the building straightforward.
