Kiến Tường, District-level town in Long An Province, Vietnam
Kiến Tường is a district-level town in Long An Province located in the Mekong Delta region on flat terrain. It blends residential areas with farmland, crossed by National Route 62, which facilitates trade and movement between neighboring districts and Cambodia.
The area was formerly called Mộc Hóa and went through several administrative changes beginning in 1956. It gained its current status as a district-level town on March 18, 2013.
The town remains rooted in farming, with local people tending rice paddies and using traditional fishing techniques along the Vàm Cỏ Tây River. These activities shape daily rhythms and how the community relates to its surroundings.
The flat terrain makes navigating easy, especially by bicycle or motorbike, the main ways people get around. The dry season is the best time to explore, when roads are more accessible and farm activities are easier to observe.
The Long An Vocational College operates its campus here, providing specialized training in agriculture and industry. The school draws students from across the region and supports economic growth in the area.
