Stadionul Arcul de Triumf

Stadionul Arcul de Triumf is a rugby union venue in northern Bucharest with a natural grass playing field measuring 120 by 80 meters. The facility accommodates around 8,200 spectators and includes training areas, media rooms, and conference spaces for various events.

The venue was originally built in 1914 as Stadionul Tineretului and served as an important sports ground for over a century. In 2020, the entire facility was completely rebuilt and modernized, giving it its current form.

The venue integrates with its surroundings through architectural design, and from certain spots you can see the neighboring monastery. This proximity creates an interesting relationship between the modern sports facility and the older religious building next to it.

The facility is located on Bulevardul Mărăști and features training areas, medical facilities, and technical spaces for events. Access arrangements may vary depending on the type of event, so it is helpful to check ahead about current activities before visiting.

During the Euro 2020 championship, the Austrian national team used this ground as a training center. This was a rare chance to see top international teams preparing for major competition up close.
