Atatürk Museum, Mersin

The Atatürk Museum occupies a two-story residence with distinct architectural elements, featuring exhibition rooms across both floors and period-specific furnishings throughout the building.

Built in 1897 for German Consul H. Christman, the building gained national importance when Mustafa Kemal Atatürk stayed there for eleven days in January 1925.

The museum displays 22 personal belongings of Atatürk transferred from Anıtkabir Museum, alongside photographs and documents illustrating the formation of modern Turkey.

Located on Atatürk Street, the museum welcomes visitors from Monday through Friday between 9:00 and 17:00, and on Saturdays from 8:00 to 17:00.

The upper floor contains seven meticulously preserved rooms, including bedrooms and a study, furnished with original pieces from the early 20th century.
