Lihpao Land, Amusement park in Houli District, Taiwan
Lihpao Land is an amusement park in Houli District, Taiwan, featuring different themed areas for visitors of all ages. The site covers more than 200 hectares and includes a hotel and shopping center alongside the rides.
The site was formerly a ranch of the Taiwan Sugar Corporation before opening as Yamay Recreation World in July 1998. The current name dates from 2012 following acquisition by the Lihpao group.
Local families often spend entire weekends here, combining rides with shopping and overnight stays at the connected resort. The name comes from the Taiwanese business group that developed the site into a complete leisure destination.
Free shuttle buses run between Taiwan High Speed Rail Taichung Station and the park, making it easy for visitors from other parts of the country to reach. Arriving early on weekends and holidays helps avoid longer waiting times at popular rides.
The Gravity Max roller coaster was the first in the world to feature a genuine tilting mechanism where the track rotates to a 90-degree angle. This section leaves the cars suspended vertically over open space for a few seconds before they plunge downward.
