Ventnor City is a municipality in Atlantic County along the New Jersey coast. It sits next to Atlantic City and comprises both land and water areas within its boundaries.
The city was established in 1903 by the New Jersey Legislature, carved from parts of Egg Harbor Township. It was named after a British coastal town located on the Isle of Wight.
The city maintains a Commission system of government with three elected officials who represent the interests of its 9,210 residents as recorded in 2020.
As a coastal location, the city offers beach access and local services right next to Atlantic City. Visitors can find what they need and explore the area easily from here.
The city forms part of the Atlantic City-Hammonton metropolitan statistical area, connecting to the broader Philadelphia-Wilmington-Camden combined statistical region.
