Celebration City, Amusement park in Branson, Missouri, US.
Celebration City was an amusement park in Branson, Missouri that offered over thirty rides and attractions. Main features included the Ozark Wildcat roller coaster and the Roaring Falls water ride.
The Herschend Family Entertainment Corporation opened the park in 2003 after renovating the former Branson USA site with a forty-million-dollar investment. It closed five years later in 2008.
The park was divided into themed sections that represented different moments of American twentieth-century life, including a recreated small-town main street and a Route 66 zone. Visitors walked through street scenes and experienced architecture from different decades.
Operations began in the afternoon and ended each evening with a fireworks show. Visitors bought individual tickets for rides instead of day passes.
After closure, several rides moved to other parks while the original site remained undeveloped. Visitors can still see remnants of some structures at the location today.
