Table Rock State Park, Waterfront state park in Branson, United States.
Table Rock State Park is a Missouri state park along the shore of Table Rock Lake in the Ozarks, in the southwest of the state. It has a marina, hiking trails, campgrounds, and picnic areas spread along the waterfront.
The valley now covered by the lake was flooded in the late 1950s when Table Rock Dam was built across the White River for flood control and power generation. The park opened in 1959, shortly after the water began to rise and the shoreline took its current shape.
The park marina is a meeting point for fishing fans and boaters, where you can rent watercraft or launch your own boat onto the lake. Fishing is a long-standing local pastime here, and on warm weekends the docks fill with families and anglers spending the day on the water.
The park sees heavy use in summer, so booking a campsite or yurt in advance is a good idea if you plan to stay overnight. For day visits, arriving on a weekday morning gives you more space at the beach and on the trails.
The park offers six yurts with solid walls, electricity, and air conditioning right by the lake, a halfway point between tent camping and a cabin stay. They are often booked out months ahead, which shows just how popular this type of overnight stay has become.
