Triunfo de San Rafael del Puente Romano, Baroque monument at Roman Bridge, Spain
The stone monument features Saint Raphael standing on a marble column, with detailed religious carvings and inscriptions at the base.
Bernabé Gómez del Río constructed this religious sculpture in 1651 to mark the entrance of the Roman Bridge in Córdoba.
The monument maintains its religious function as local residents from Campo de la Verdad neighborhood regularly place candle offerings at its base.
Visitors can examine the monument while crossing the Roman Bridge, with optimal viewing conditions during morning and evening hours.
Two commemorative plaques adorn the structure, including one from 1789 dedicated by the tanners guild to King Charles IV of Spain.
