Torre d'en Dolça

The Torre d'en Dolça stands as a stone fortification with a square base measuring 10 by 11 meters and walls reaching 90 centimeters in thickness.

Built in the 16th century, this defensive structure protected the region from pirate attacks along the coast, forming part of an extensive network of watchtowers.

The tower received recognition as a Cultural Asset of National Interest in 1988, representing the vernacular architecture of the Tarragonès region.

The structure integrates into a 37-hectare public park near Raval de la Mar road, connecting Vila-seca with La Pineda beach area.

A preserved diagonal arch inside the tower supports the ground floor ceiling, while the first story contains windows with corbelled arches.
