Serra Gelada and Litoral de la Marina Baixa

The Serra Gelada extends across 5,653 hectares, featuring limestone cliffs that rise 300 meters above the Mediterranean Sea along the Costa Blanca coastline.

The natural park received its protected status in March 2005, marking a significant step in preserving the ecological richness of Spain's eastern Mediterranean coast.

Local communities in Altea, Benidorm, and L'Alfàs del Pi maintain traditional fishing practices while supporting conservation efforts within the park's maritime zones.

The underwater mountain of Llosa de Benidorm rises from 35 meters deep to just 8 meters below sea level, creating a natural habitat for Mediterranean marine species.
