Church of Nuestra Señora de la Paz

The church was founded in 1590 when Basilian monks built a college complex that included this chapel. Over the next 1 to 2 centuries, the building underwent significant renovations that shaped its present form.

The interior houses a statue of Saint Francis created by a noted artist of the period. An altarpiece was brought here from a former convent in the early 1870s and remains on display today.
