Kingi, Freefall tower at Linnanmäki park, Helsinki, Finland
Kingi is a freefall tower at Linnanmäki where riders are lifted high into the air before dropping straight down. The structure stands 75 meters tall and accommodates 24 people in each ride cycle.
The ride was built and opened by Italian manufacturer Moser Rides in 2014. Since then it has remained a permanent fixture at the amusement park.
The Kingi tower stands as a modern addition to Linnanmäki, enhancing the park's collection of entertainment attractions for Finnish families.
Riders must be at least 140 centimeters tall and cannot have certain health conditions that would make the ride unsafe. Loose items should be secured before boarding, as the descent happens very quickly.
As riders are lifted up, they can see across Helsinki before experiencing the sudden freefall sensation. This moment of viewing the city contrasts sharply with the intensity that follows.
