Kirnu, Steel roller coaster at Linnanmäki, Finland
Kirnu is a steel roller coaster at Linnanmäki amusement park featuring a compact size of 25 meters tall with 142 meters of track. It reaches speeds of 60 kilometers per hour and moves up to 640 riders per hour in trains that carry eight passengers per car.
The coaster opened on April 27, 2007 as one of the first Intamin ZacSpin models built anywhere. It was the first installation of this specific rotating model design by manufacturer RCS GmbH.
Located in Linnanmäki, an amusement park operated by the Children's Day Foundation, Kirnu contributes to financing child welfare initiatives in Finland.
The ride lasts just a few minutes and is easy to locate since it sits prominently in the park. Visitors should expect typical wait times and wear comfortable shoes as the park grounds are quite hilly.
Each ride feels different because the cars rotate independently based on how passengers distribute their weight. This means no two cycles through the track are ever exactly the same.
