Salama, Steel roller coaster in Linnanmäki, Finland.
The Salama roller coaster stretches 420 meters in length and rises 17 meters above the ground at Linnanmäki amusement park in Helsinki.
Initiated in early 2008, the Maurer Rides steel roller coaster commenced operations on April 25th of that year, introducing a new attraction to Linnanmäki park.
The name Salama, meaning lightning in Finnish, derives from Kalevala, the national epic poem that encompasses Finland's folklore and mythology.
The roller coaster accommodates 800 riders per hour, with height restrictions requiring passengers to measure between 140 and 195 centimeters tall.
Passengers sit in a back-to-back configuration in cars that spin while traveling at speeds reaching 60 kilometers per hour through the track.
