Les Agneaux

Les Agneaux is an alpine peak in the French Alps located within the Massif des Écrins, featuring three distinct summits at its top. The highest point stands at 3,664 meters (12,038 feet), and the mountain's structure is defined by two intersecting ridges that create four separate faces.

The first documented ascent took place in July 1873 and established the climbing route now known as the Coolidge route. This historical path remains the preferred way up for many mountaineers attempting the summit today.

The mountain draws climbers seeking technical challenges within this national park, making it a central objective for mountaineers across France. Its position among other notable peaks makes it a favorite stop for multi-day climbing expeditions in the region.

Most climbers begin at Refuge Glacier Blanc, which serves as the main base for starting the ascent up the mountain. The best season falls between January and May, though exact conditions depend heavily on snowfall and weather patterns.
