Pointe Blanche

Pointe Blanche is a limestone ridge in the Bornes Massif that defines the jagged profile of this alpine range. The formation has steep faces on multiple sides and creates a visible landmark across the surrounding valleys.

The peak formed from limestone layers deposited long ago and later lifted by mountain-building forces. Over time it has served as a natural boundary marker between neighboring communities in the valley below.

The limestone gives the peak a whitish tone that stands out visibly from a distance on clear days. This pale coloring is often the first visual clue when approaching the mountain from the valley floor.
