Saint Joseph Basilica extends over 1700 square meters with a 55-meter-long nave and a spire reaching 38 meters into the sky.
The first Saint Joseph church, funded by Louis XIV, was built in 1697 outside the city walls before being replaced by the current basilica in 1924.
The stained glass windows by Louis Balmet depict the Holy Family and Saint Joseph as protector of the faithful in this Diocese of Grenoble-Vienne basilica.
The presbytery houses student accommodations and a community café called Isèreanybody in its renovated premises since 2010.
The Édouard Ruche organ, installed in 1943, underwent complete restoration between 1997 and 2010 to meet contemporary standards.
