Pic de Soumaoute is a mountain summit in the French Pyrenees reaching about 2200 meters high, with steep rocky slopes and exposed ridges. The peak offers views across the mountain range and shares its border zone with Spain.
The peak has long served as a natural boundary marker between France and Spain, forming part of the Pyrenean range that separates the two countries. This geographic position shaped regional relations for centuries.
