City Park

City Park is a large public green space in Budapest featuring paths, artificial lakes, and varied plant life spread across an extensive area. The park offers open walking areas and water features that run through the grounds.

The site was originally a royal hunting ground in the 18th century, later transformed into a public park and played a key role during the 1896 millennium celebrations.

The park holds several museums including the Museum of Fine Arts and Museum of Ethnography along its edges, offering cultural institutions within easy reach of the green spaces.

The site is easily accessible by metro line M1 at stations Hősök tere or Széchenyi fürdő and by trolleybus. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes since the area suits walking exploration.

In winter the park's lake transforms into an outdoor ice skating rink, while summer allows visitors to explore the water by rowboat. This seasonal shift makes it a year-round destination with changing activities.
