The settlement patterns of Tung Lo Wan trace back to early 20th century when the Tse clan established their presence, constructing the Tse Ancestral Hall before 1910.
The Tse Ancestral Hall, known as Tse Po Shu Tong, functions as the central gathering point for village ceremonies and maintains records of family lineages.
The village operates under the New Territories Small House Policy, which regulates construction and land use for indigenous inhabitants of the New Territories.
Li Cottage, built in 1918, connects through a designated path to the Li Tomb situated uphill, representing the architectural heritage of early 20th century Hong Kong.
