TT19 is a tomb in the Valley of the Nobles featuring detailed wall reliefs carved into its chambers and corridors. The decoration displays scenes of festivals and farming activities as well as a list of rulers from multiple dynasties.
The tomb was constructed during the 19th Dynasty by Amenmose, a high priest of Amenhotep I, along with his wife Iuy. It marks a period when such burial chambers served as expressions of rank and spiritual security in the afterlife.
The interior walls display scenes from daily life and religious festivals that reflect the beliefs and practices of ancient Egyptian society. These images show how people understood their relationship with the gods and the afterlife.
The tomb is accessible through established pathways in the Theban Necropolis on the western bank of the Nile. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes and be ready for dusty, uneven surfaces within the underground chambers.
The interior contains rare depictions of Amenmose's sons, Beknay and Panefernekhu, shown performing religious ceremonies such as the opening of the mouth ritual. Such family scenes are uncommon in Egyptian tombs.
