Dream Park, Amusement park in Giza Governorate, Egypt.
Dream Park is a leisure site in Giza Governorate with several themed zones, including Miramar, Plaza, Ancient, Movie and Techno, spread across roughly 61 hectares. The site offers 48 rides and attractions for visitors of different ages.
The site opened in 1999 following a planning phase by Canadian firm Forrec, which also handled designs for Universal Studio. Since then, the surrounding area has grown into a larger complex with hotels and other facilities.
The park's name appears in many Egyptian family conversations when planning a weekend outing. Children and teenagers often arrive in larger groups, and on holidays the place fills with music and cheerful energy.
The approach follows roads toward the Pyramids, with the park located roughly 8 kilometers from them. On weekends and holidays many guests arrive, so a visit earlier in the day works better.
The site forms part of Dreamland City, a larger urban development connecting several hotels, a golf course, a shopping mall and Media Production City. Visitors can relax or shop at nearby facilities after a day at the park.
