Château de l'Horizon

Château de l'Horizon is a modern villa situated on the Mediterranean coast near Vallauris, featuring clean white architecture and multiple floors with seaward-facing rooms. The villa was designed in 1932 by American architect Barry Dierks for actress Maxine Elliott as her coastal residence. The Saudi royal family purchased the property in 1979 and later undertook significant renovations, reinforcing structures and adding new facilities.

The residence served as a meeting place for wealthy guests enjoying the refined lifestyle of the French Riviera. Its rooms and gardens still reflect this history of luxury and social gatherings.

The villa sits on a private coastal stretch and typically requires advance permission to visit or access the grounds. Getting there by car is most practical, as the location lies somewhat removed from Vallauris town center.
