Construction of the lighthouse began in 1923 after the previous structure in Golfe-Juan tilted due to poor foundation, leading to its completion in 1927.
The lighthouse received official recognition as a historical monument in 2012, marking its architectural and maritime significance for the French Riviera.
Located at 1068 Boulevard des Horizons, the automated lighthouse continues to guide maritime vessels through the waters near Golfe-Juan passage.
Standing as Europe's highest lighthouse when measuring focal plane elevation, the structure remains partially hidden among exotic vegetation and neighboring villas.
