Ginowan Seaside Park, Coastal park in Ginowan, Japan.
Ginowan Seaside Park is a public recreational area along the East China Sea, located in the Mashiki district of Ginowan, Okinawa. It offers walking and cycling paths, sports courts and fields, and an outdoor amphitheater facing the water.
The park was established in the mid-1980s as part of Okinawa's broader effort to develop public spaces after decades of post-war recovery. Over time it grew into one of the most used open spaces along the island's western coast.
The outdoor amphitheater in the park draws locals and visitors for concerts and community events held by the water. Performances often feature traditional Okinawan music alongside more contemporary acts, giving the space a distinct local flavor.
The paths throughout the park are flat and easy to walk or cycle, and parking is available near the main entrance. Coming in the morning tends to be more comfortable, especially in the warmer months when midday heat can be intense.
Every spring, a professional baseball team uses the park's grounds for training, drawing fans who travel specifically to watch the sessions. This makes the park a meeting point for baseball enthusiasts at a time of year when most visitors come simply to enjoy the sea.
