Citrus Museum

The Citrus Museum is an educational facility in Seogwipo devoted entirely to the cultivation and history of citrus fruits. The exhibits display different varieties, explain growing methods, and show how the plants develop across the seasons.

The facility opened in 2005 to document the development of the citrus farming industry on the island. This agricultural sector fundamentally changed the region's economy and farming practices.

The cultivation of citrus fruits shapes daily life and livelihoods on the island, with farming traditions passed down through generations. Walking through the exhibits, you understand how deeply this agricultural practice is woven into the community's identity.

The building is located in an easily accessible spot with ample parking available on-site. Plan for at least one to two hours and wear comfortable shoes, as there are multiple levels to explore.

The second floor features a café serving citrus-based drinks and snacks with a relaxing viewpoint. During certain months, visitors can also hand-pick fruit directly from the fields outside.
