Rasina District, Administrative district in Central Serbia
The Rasina District covers six municipalities including Kruševac, Aleksandrovac, Brus, Ćićevac, Trstenik, and Varvarin, forming a significant administrative region in Serbia.
The district was officially established on January 29, 1992, following Serbia's administrative reorganization, becoming one of the 29 districts that compose the country.
The population of 241,999 inhabitants maintains Serbian traditions, with 96 percent of residents identifying as ethnic Serbs according to the 2011 census.
Kruševac, the district capital, functions as the primary administrative center, housing governmental offices, educational institutions, courts, and regional police headquarters.
The district experiences a continuous demographic shift, with census data showing a gradual population decrease from 272,834 in 1991 to 207,197 in 2022.
