Rasina District

The Rasina District is an administrative region in Central Serbia encompassing six municipalities with Kruševac as its main administrative center. The area includes smaller towns and villages spread across the region that together form a connected territory.

The district was established in 1992 during a major reorganization of Serbia's administrative regions and became one of several new districts created at that time. This restructuring followed significant changes occurring in the country during that period.

The region is home to communities that practice local traditions in their daily lives, which you can see in the markets, celebrations, and crafts. Each municipality maintains its own character while being part of this larger administrative area.

Kruševac serves as the administrative center and is easily reached by public transportation as it is the main hub in the region. The other municipalities are connected by regional roads, allowing visitors to explore different areas.

While the region faces economic and demographic challenges, it is home to several craft traditions and local industries that persist in smaller communities. This quieter side of the district is often overlooked by visitors who focus mainly on the urban center.
