Stealth

Stealth is a steel roller coaster at Thorpe Park that accelerates riders from standstill to 80 mph in less than two seconds using a hydraulic launch system. The track climbs to a height of 205 feet (62 meters) before dropping vertically back down.

Built by Intamin in 2006, this ride became the fastest roller coaster in the United Kingdom at the time of its opening. The construction cost approximately twelve million pounds and represented a major investment for the park.

The design incorporates automotive themes with engine sounds and racing elements, reflecting British enthusiasm for motorsports and high-speed experiences.

Height requirements range from 4 feet 7 inches to 6 feet 5 inches (1.40 to 1.96 meters) for riders. Wait times average around forty minutes on regular days but can increase during weekends and school holidays.

The launch generates a force of 4.7 g, equivalent to nearly five times a rider's body weight pressing down during acceleration. Despite reaching such high speed, the entire ride lasts only about fifteen seconds from launch to final brake.
