Description
Rumba Rapids is a water ride at Thorpe Park where boats travel through narrow channels, descend over waterfalls, and encounter several mechanical waves throughout the course. The route passes through tunnels and past various effects that churn the water and create splashing.
History
The attraction opened in 1987 as Thunder River and underwent complete renovation in 2002 when it received its new name. This overhaul modernized the water effects and mechanics of the original ride.

Practical
Children as short as 90 centimeters (35 inches) may ride when accompanied by an adult, while those taller than 110 centimeters (43 inches) can ride independently. You should expect to get wet from splashing and water effects during the experience.
