High Hartsop Dodd, Mountain summit in Lake District, England
High Hartsop Dodd rises to 519 meters above sea level, featuring a small cairn at its peak and steep slopes descending toward Kirkstone Pass.
Alfred Wainwright designated High Hartsop Dodd as an independent fell in his Pictorial Guide to the Lakeland Fells, despite its connection to Little Hart Crag.
The summit forms part of the Eastern Fells walking circuit, offering hikers connections to neighboring peaks Little Hart Crag and Dove Crag.
Hikers can reach the summit from two primary starting points: Kirkstonefoot or Cow Bridge, following established paths through grassy terrain to the top.
The mountain contains evidence of past lead mining activities in Caiston Glen, where an abandoned mine shaft extends into the mountainside.
