Kampstraße 45–47, Architectural heritage monument in Innenstadt-West district, Dortmund, Germany.
Kampstraße 45-47 is an office building made of white and brown concrete in the Innenstadt-West district of Dortmund. The 39-meter-tall structure with aluminum-framed windows was built as a modern business complex.
Architect Harald Deilmann designed the building in 1978 as a response to the destruction of Dortmund's center during World War II. The construction was part of the reconstruction efforts for the downtown area.
The building displays postwar modernist design through its geometric lines, concrete bands, and expansive windows. Its clean forms and bright materials continue to shape the character of the street.
The building now serves as a medical center with parking access from Schmiedingstraße. Its downtown location makes it easily accessible by public transportation.
During the 2011 to 2014 renovation, special window components had to be custom-made to preserve the original design. This attention to detail reflects a commitment to keeping the postwar aesthetic intact.
