Château de Naganuma

Château de Naganuma is a Japanese castle fortress located in Tochigi Prefecture that sits at strategic elevation with stone foundations and wooden structures built according to feudal architectural traditions. The remaining foundations and earthwork structures demonstrate the original construction methods of this military stronghold.

The fortress was built and controlled by the Utsunomiya clan during the Sengoku period as a defensive position against rival territorial powers. This era of military conflict shaped how the stronghold was designed and positioned for defense.
