Umami Kyūryō Park

Umami Kyūryō Park is an urban green space in the Kitakatsuragi district with walking paths, cycling routes, and themed gardens featuring seasonal flowers and plants. The facility provides tennis courts, playgrounds, restrooms, vending machines, and information centers throughout its grounds.

The park opened in April 1991 and incorporates the Umami Kofun Group, a collection of ancient burial mounds reflecting the region's past. These archaeological remains are preserved within the landscape as reminders of historical settlement in the area.

The park serves as a gathering space where local people come together for seasonal festivals and community events throughout the year, strengthening their bond with nature.

The park is easily navigable with clearly marked paths suitable for different ability levels, making it accessible for families and casual walkers. Rest areas and restrooms are distributed throughout, so visitors can comfortably spend several hours exploring.

The park features several specialized garden zones showcasing different flower species, including a dedicated section for roses with multiple cultivated varieties. These gardens change their character throughout the year as different blooms peak with the seasons.
