The terminal resumed operations in 2018 after a decade of inactivity, following the bankruptcy of East Japan Ferry, which previously operated multiple routes.

The terminal serves as a vital transportation link between Hokkaido and Honshu islands, connecting people and goods across the Tsugaru Strait.

The ferry departs from Muroran at 20:00 and arrives in Aomori at 03:00 the next day, with services operating six days per week except Sundays.

The terminal offers views of the Hakucho Bridge and industrial facilities, while passengers can purchase frozen yakitori bento from vending machines.
