Aqua Ignis Sendai is a modern commercial complex housing restaurants, thermal baths, shops, and relaxation zones across multiple floors. The facility combines dining and wellness experiences in a single integrated structure.
The complex opened in 2022 on land in Fujitsuka district that had been devastated by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. Its establishment represents part of the recovery efforts in the affected area.
The facility celebrates regional produce from Tohoku through its restaurant offerings, which range from traditional Japanese cooking to Italian cuisine prepared by acclaimed chefs.
The complex can be reached by car in about 25 minutes from JR Sendai Station. The thermal baths operate daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
The thermal baths draw geothermal water from 1000 meters underground, making it the first facility of this type in the Tohoku region. This energy source provides a renewable and sustainable operation.
