Jangneung

Jangneung is a royal burial complex in the Gimpo area that contains the remains of a high-ranking royal family member and was designed according to traditional Korean layout principles. The site features stone pathways, stone guardian figures, and rectangular ceremonial structures arranged in an orderly fashion around the central tomb.

The tomb was built in the early 17th century during the Joseon Dynasty and represents the burial practices of that era. Its construction followed strict guidelines for royal family members and preserved traditional rituals that were maintained across generations.
