Río Secreto

Río Secreto is an underground cave system with a flowing river running through layers of limestone. The network consists of several interconnected chambers with pools, passages, and natural formations that reveal the interior of the rock.

The ancient Maya culture revered this location as sacred and used the caves for ceremonies and spiritual practices in distant times. This tradition connects the archaeology of the region to the natural water systems that have existed for millennia.
