Huaca Santa Rosa, Pre-Columbian archaeological site in San Martín de Porres District, Peru
The archaeological complex spans 1500 square meters and features both ancient pre-Columbian structures and colonial-era adobe buildings at 44 meters above sea level.
The site functioned as an extension of the Garagay architectural complex, with ceramics findings confirming the chronological connection between these two locations.
The presence of Spanish colonial hacienda construction above the original Huaca demonstrates the architectural transformation and cultural layers of different periods.
Visitors can reach the archaeological site by following Daniel Alcides Carrión Avenue, located just ten minutes from the Garagay complex.
The site caretaker has maintained records and provided information about the archaeological complex for over four decades while seeking governmental support.
