Askari Amusement Park, amusement park in Karachi, Pakistan
Askari Amusement Park is an amusement park in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal neighborhood of Karachi, Pakistan, with rides and attractions for all ages. It features a large Ferris wheel called the Karachi Eye, a roller coaster, bumper cars, a slingshot ride, and a 12D cinema.
The park opened in 2018 and was the first amusement park in Karachi. It started as a recreational space for military families before opening to the general public.
The park opens daily in the afternoon and closes late in the evening, so visiting on a weekend or during school holidays means larger crowds. Inside, there are food stalls, shaded rest areas, lockers, and facilities for visitors with disabilities, including ramps and dedicated restrooms.
The Karachi Eye, the park's Ferris wheel, stands about 61 meters tall and is one of the few places in the city where you can look out over Karachi from that height. Each pod holds up to six people, so it works well for a family ride rather than a solo thrill.
