Sajikot Waterfall, Natural waterfall in Havelian Tehsil, Pakistan.
Sajikot Waterfall is a natural cascade in Havelian Tehsil, within the Abbottabad district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan. The water drops over a rocky face into a pool at the base, surrounded by large boulders and dense greenery on the hillside.
For a long time the waterfall could only be reached on foot along a rough path, which kept visitor numbers low. In 2019, bathing restrictions were put in place to address water quality concerns, marking a shift in how the site is managed.
The waterfall is a popular spot for local families who come to picnic on the rocky banks and spend time outdoors together. On public holidays, the area fills with people from nearby towns looking for a day in nature away from the city.
A road now leads to a parking area close to the waterfall, so the walk from the car to the site is short. The path near the water can be slippery on wet rocks, so sturdy footwear is a good idea.
The waterfall runs throughout the year, but its flow is strongest in spring when snowmelt from the higher slopes adds to the stream. The pool at the base looks noticeably different in the early morning light compared to midday, when the sun hits the rocks directly.
