Nenggao Waterfall, Waterfall in Ren'ai Township, Taiwan
The Nenggao Waterfall cascades down in three distinct stages, spanning a height of 200 meters within dense forest surroundings at 2800 meters elevation.
The waterfall connects to the Nenggao Cross-Ridge Historic Trail, which until 1917 served as a hunting route for the Sediq indigenous people.
The waterfall area maintains deep connections to Taiwan's indigenous communities, who integrated this natural formation into their traditional practices and daily life.
Visitors reach the waterfall through the Gaoyueling Road and marked hiking trails, with optimal viewing conditions occurring during periods of increased rainfall.
The formation earned the name Husband and Wife Falls due to its split flow pattern, creating parallel water streams that merge at different elevation points.
